MGG

Milton Glows Gold in September and so does MPS!

Milton Glows Gold (MGG) was created by the MCM Fund to raise awareness and support for kids battling cancer and to support families with financial assistance. MPS has participated in MGG since its inception in 2019.

This year, the MCM Fund is hosting Milton Glows Gold in loving memory of Emily L. Butt, who passed away on February 27, 2024, after a courageous battle with leukemia. Emily's vibrant spirit and infectious smile were a gift to all who knew her during her precious eight years of life.

How can you participate in Milton Glows Gold?

  • Sign up to join the Jumping Jack Challenge. The Jumping Jack Challenge aims to raise awareness and funds to support families impacted by childhood cancer. Participants will sign up and can ask friends and family to sponsor them based on the number of jumping jacks completed.

  • Sponsor someone's Jumping Jacks or donate to the MCM Fund.

  • Hang a gold ribbon on your door or window (ribbon coloring sheets will be coming home in backpacks next week).

  • Donate your Gold - drop a few coins in the coin buckets in the front office.

  • Donate your liquid Gold - sign up to give blood this month. Sign up here for the MGG blood drive on 9/27 or donate on your own this month.

  • Do Jumping Jacks at school on September 19, the day we will all jump together.

  • Wear Gold on September 27, Milton Glows Gold Day.

  • Attend the MGG Football game at Milton High School on September 27.

Milton Glows Gold is intended to be an inclusive event - anyone can do Jumping Jacks at home or at school, regardless of signing up or donating. MCM does not want money to be a barrier to signing up, please email your principal or mcmstrong@gmail.com for a code to sign up without cost. To show support you can wear gold on September 27, color a ribbon, attend the football game, drop a few coins into the coin bucket, and do jumping jacks with friends at home or at school!

We can't wait to Glow Gold all month in support of children and families battling childhood cancer!
